I’m sharing the recipe for a classic Filipino dish that is a staple at all Filipino dinner tables! If you’ve heard anything about Filipino cuisine or culture you are most likely familiar with adobo because it’s one of the most well-known Filipino dishes out there. 

Adobo is one of the authentic dish here in the Philippines and it a is one of the mostly recognized Filipino foods. Also there are a lots of kinds in cooking the adobo dish like ( chicken and beef lastly pork) these two are commonly use in cooking the adobo and the ingredients in cooking the adobo are ( 2 chicken 3 pcs dried bay leaves 4 tbsp of soy source and 4 tbsp of vinegar 3 cloves garlic 2 cups of water and 1/4 of cooking oil and lastly salt and pepper) with this ingredients we can easily cook this good and healthy food.

While the cooking process sounds relatively simple, there are still a few details that can trip up a beginner. Remember that tougher cuts of meat need to simmer for a longer time. Tender meats like poultry or seafood should be braised in less liquid, at a lower temperature, and for a shorter period of time or they’ll disintegrate. Keep the temperature low to prevent the outer layers of the meat from toughening up before the insides are cooked thoroughly. Getting a good, even sear on the meat is also crucial to the adobo’s flavor. Lastly, salt should be added (if at all) only towards the end of the cooking process to prevent the reduced sauce from being too salty.

According to the spiceograhy that adobo can give a heath benefits in our body like Most commonly found in adobo, bay leaves have tons of benefits for the body, the immune system, and even the digestive system. When ingested, bay leaves can help to aid the digestive process, reduce flatulence, inflammation, and ease the symptoms of coughs and cold and also The ingredients in adobo seasoning have nutrients such as: Minerals: The oregano inadobo seasoning is rich in minerals like iron and calcium. The black pepper in most blends is also a good source of iron and also contains a high level of manganese.

And I would like to share my experience in cooking and eating the authentic adobo dish. I can say that adobo is good and delicious. I am very greatly and proud because a lot of people love our Filipino cuisine especially this cuisines. As a young student we should continue on making a good and delicious cuisine so that we can preserved our culture and tradition on making these kind of cuisine.

There are 31 types of adobo dishes but only 2 of them are my favorites.

  • Chicken Adobo Chicken Adobo is a Filipino chickenrecipe that is well loved by many people. The ingredients are chicken, bay leaves, black peppercorn and bay leaves. You can use any parts of the chicken: breasts, thighs, legs or wings. I used chicken thighs for this recipe and yields tender, moist, fall-off-the-bone chicken.

  • Pork Adobo For off-the-grid survival fare, adobo can last for up to a month in the fridge, for thepork or chicken types. And up to a week, stored out in the open in a closed container, set aside in a cool dry place. It can also be easily recycled as leftover meals
